Mitsubishi FX3U PLC is one of the most commonly used PLCs in the world and today I will show you how to use it to control PowerFlex525 (Allen-Bradley) Inverters

To be able to communicate with Modbus-RTU, FX3U needs to use the FX3U-485ADP-MB Module.

PowerFlex 520 Series Communication Settings

To configure the Modbus-RTU parameters we need to set the parameters as follows

Register for Control

>>> Control Run Address = 2000 (Hexa)

+ Set Word 2000 = 18 >>> Motor Forward Start
= 34 >>> Motor Reverse Start
= 1 >>> Stop
= 8 >>> VFD Fault Reset

>>> Setting Frequency Address = 2001 (Hexa)
